If you’re lucky enough to plan a destination wedding, you might have a question about who pays for the accommodations for your wedding pros traveling to your event. Here, we share a tip or two about booking accommodations for your not-so-typical out-of-town-guests — your wedding vendors!
This is a big question many brides pose when considering hiring wedding professionals from outside of their home town. Each professional will have requirements in his or her contract. Most of the time, if the drive is longer than two hours, you will be required per the terms of their contract to provide them with accommodations. Even if there is no requirement in the contract to do so, it is an appropriate thing to do.
When getting their accommodations, make sure that the hotel you choose is in a safe area and is clean. You don’t have to go with a five-star hotel, but you don’t want to put your wedding professionals up in a place where you wouldn’t feel comfortable staying.
Is one of the most notable celebutantes in the world about to begin wedding planning? Word on the street is that Paris Hilton is finally ready to become a Mrs!
According to the New York Post, Hilton and her beau, businessman Cy Waits, were recently caught engagement ring shopping. And while the lovebirds reportedly took a gander at a 30-carat blue diamond ring, the heiress decided to hunker down a huge amount of cash for a black diamond bauble as a 30th birthday gift to herself. The rock was reportedly worth $25,000.
So yes, although the sweethearts left the jewelry store empty-handed, the gossip mill continues to insist that the pair will be getting hitched sometime in the near future. In fact, Hilton spoke with the news source later on that evening and added fuel to the fire when asked if she’s aisle-bound.
“We’ve talked about it,” she told the news outlet. “This is once in a lifetime. I want to be with him forever.”
Hilton previously dated Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden and reality star Doug Reinhardt. This would be the first marriage for both Hilton and Waits.
Congratulations on getting engaged! There are tons of things you’ll need to do between now and “I Do.” To get you ready for the big day, we’ve compiled a list of five important things you should tackle first.
Select a Date:
Setting a date is the most important step you can take in planning a wedding. The availability of vendors and venues will of course hinge on the date you choose. So get out your calendar and find a day that works for you.
Announce Your Engagement:
Sharing the good news with friends and family is the next step to take. Make it a festive occasion by planning an engagement party or keep it simple by sending an email or calling friends directly.
Take Engagement Photos: Engagement photos are a really big trend with brides and grooms today. Plus you’ll find tons of uses for these photos throughout your engagement. They’re great to use with save-the-dates, on your wedding Website and even on display at your wedding reception.
Text the word “bride” to 41127 on your cell phone and you will be sent a discount code for two free tickets to the Great Diamond Dash Bridal Show on February 13, 2011 at the Hyatt Regency Downtown. Visit PerfectWeddingGuide.com and enter the discount code to redeem the free tickets.
