Alissa + Clint’s Splendid Celebration at the Four Seasons Santa Fe

Yes, it’s true, we did just feature the Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado in a post recently. But when there’s a wedding this stunning, this vivacious in Albuquerque or Santa Fe, we simply have to give our two cents. {Plus, there’s no such thing as too much love for the incredible New Mexican wedding venue.} The verdict on this delightfully bright celebration of love and marriage? Five stars! 10/10, would recommend you fawn over the deep colors and lighthearted jamboree for wedding inspiration and life goals.

It helps too, that Maura Jane Photography was there to capture the brilliance. Which, if you’re in New Mexico, you’ve probably heard of the famed local photographer and her wonderfully airy style — but she truly outdid herself this time. Collaborating with a few of our absolute favorite wedding professionals in Albuquerque + Santa Fe, Maura Jane Photography encapsulated the splendor of the day that was made possible by the hard work of incredible experts.

For their wedding, Alissa + Clint wanted bright beautiful colors that encompassed the diversity of their guests and matched the sunsets that Santa fe is known for. Rich deep pinks and bright vibrant oranges were used from their invitations to the shoes that Alissa wore on her feet. In lieu of a veil, Alissa wore a beautiful flowy Vivian Reed scarf that matched her personality perfectly.

Guests enjoyed a beautiful Santa fe sky during the ceremony that teased us with rain but quickly blew past resulting in a breathtaking sunset. They made their way to the outdoor cocktail hour on the Four Season‘s patio and sipped signature drinks that Alissa + Clint came up with themselves along with  a little help of a mixologist. Handblown glass vases graced the reception tables, a nod to Santa fe’s rich artistic culture.

-Maura, Maura Jane Photography

It’s no secret how deeply appreciative we are of New Mexico’s venerable history and landscapes. So a wedding, pouring over with bold colors and full-bellied laughter, that pays homage to our state’s culture, and was brought to life by the hardworking hands of dedicated local professionals? We’re starting to wonder if Alissa + Clint intentionally set out to have a wedding that would make our entire team cry. {Or we would be, if the unparalleled adoration and devotion between the couple weren’t so obvious. We can thank Maura Jane Photography again for catching those loving looks on camera so spectacularly.}

Congratulations on making us tear up from unbridled joy and admiration, Alissa + Clint! Oh, and on your newly-wed status, of course. Thank you to you both, as well as Maura Jane Photography, and all the extremely talented wedding professionals {listed below!} who made this day possible.

Shams + Sharmin {a fusion of 5 cultures: wedding sneak peak}

We have had the pleasure of getting to know this beautiful couple lately and am honored to share a sneak peak of their unique story and wedding taking place over 4 days in August 2016.

Bride: Dr. Sharmin Dharas, Groom: Shams Mehri

Wedding dates: August 24-28, 2016

“Our theme for our save the dates was to join the two cultures where we were born. My fiance was born in Kabul, Afghanistan so his mom sent me their traditional clothes as a gift to wear for the photo shoot at Casa Rondena Winery. The architecture at the winery really gave the image of us being in Afghanistan. I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and in order to depict the new Mexican flavor in our pictures we went the flamenco way and took pictures in Madrid New Mexico, Santa Fe New Mexico and Sandia mountains. Our photographer really knows how to capture the moment and is very familiar with our cultures! The wedding is a 5 day 8 event wedding that will include 5 different cultures that exhibit who we are and how we were raised. Its been tough but well worth the experience!”

Renee + Jerod { Bold Urban-Chic Rooftop Elopement}

What would you do if your wedding photographer stood you up on your wedding day? Unfortunately our next couple experienced this true life wedding nightmare first hand and holy cow, I am getting a rash just thinking about it!  Lucky for them a couple years down the road they became good friends with one of the top wedding planners in Albuquerque, NM- Alena of Alena Swanson LLCRenee often discussed what she “wished their wedding would have been”, and Alena listened. Incorporating their original wedding colors of pink, cream and white, she was inspired to gather the best wedding pros in ABQ and create their dream wedding elopement shoot. This shoot was a total surprise to the model bride, who only found out days before.

From the planner, Alena:  “Using an ombre of pink and rose gold, the bling, glitter and boldness of black reflect their classy but quirky personalities. Together, they love books and reading; and every detail reflects this as well, through scrabble tiles, ampersands, and stacked book centerpieces– all the bride’s favorite things!

To get just the right color, every detail was hand crafted by wedding pros, from her pink hair to her glittery heels. The pros were so thoughtful in remaking their dream wedding- they are even eating pink strawberry cake! This unique couple loves the rare and unusual, yet beautiful things in life, so I kept this in mind when choosing pink ginger flowers, the industrial location, rose gold jewelry, and a blush wedding dress.

This type of stylized shoot sincerely emulates the spirit of the wedding industry as we bless others on their special day and do our best to go above and beyond.”

The joy of this once in a lifetime experience is real in these stunning photos, a huge thanks to  Emily Joanne Wedding Films & Photography
