Stress-free Spa Day at Home with K and C Naturals

Stress-free Spa Day at Home with K and C Naturals

Relax those shoulders and unclench that jaw – it’s treat yo’ self day.

You’ve been working so very hard and it’s not out of the ordinary to feel a little restless during these times. Between working from home and planning your upcoming wedding, we know that sometimes it can feel like there is no escape. However, there are plenty of great ways to give yourself a well-deserved break from the “Four Big Cs” of the household (Children, Cell Phones, Computers, and Chores) and we’re going to introduce you to a few of them with the help of our friends at K and C Naturals.

K and C Naturals is one of our own local vendors that always seems to have the answers to our self-care questions. Perhaps it’s the all-natural ingredients or the massive variety of options, but their products will give you the R&R you crave. We reached out to K and C Naturals directly to ask them for their tips on how to have a simple spa day without leaving the house!

Draw a Bath & De-Stress

Create a self-care/spa day to relax and unwind with one of the many Bath Salts from K and C Naturals. It will help to reduce anxiety, stress, and increase relaxation to help lighten your mood.

  1. Make a playlist of your favorite music that calms your soul
  2. Light your favorite candles for a serene angelic environment
  3. Grab your favorite book to read
  4. Pour yourself a glass of wine
  5. Enhance your bathing experience with the De-stress Bath Salts
  6. Turn on the music

Immerse yourself in the water. Read your book, enjoy your wine, close your eyes. Let yourself drift away to that inner peace. You won’t want to leave the tranquil environment for hours.

Brides can become overwhelmed with not knowing when things will return to normal or if it will be the new normal. It is important to remember that we cannot change the things we cannot see or have no control over. It is important to still take care of yourself even at home. K and C Naturals has many wonderful products to help you do that. A Spa Day is a wonderful way to get you inspired and remain as stress-free as possible.

– Carol, K and C Naturals

Exfoliate & Moisturize

After you de-stress, take some time to treat those areas of your body that you normally don’t have time for. It’s that time of the year where dry, cracked skin makes a quick comeback, and after so much hand-washing, you’ll want to make your skin feel healthy again with scrubs + moisturizers.

  1. Rinse your face to remove all makeup, sweat and dirt
  2. Gently massage your face with clean hands to release tension
  3. Use a lip scrub of your choice from K and C Naturals to remove dead skin
  4. Grab some lotion or Restore to moisturize your skin

You’ll feel like your glowing!

Jump on K and C Naturals’ website to take 20% of EVERYTHING right now and you can get the goodies delivered right to your doorstep.

We hope you find that relaxation you deserve and bask in the glory of at-home spa treatments. We promise you – with a little help from your significant other in keeping themselves and/or the children distracted – you’ll feel like you’ve just been treated at a high-end spa. When it comes to your wedding day, don’t forget to break out these goodies again the day before to keep those nerves down. You can also give them as wedding favors so your guests can create their own spa day, too!

BRB. We’re going to run a bath and enjoy a little “treat yo’ self” ourselves!

Romance in Full Bloom: A Real Wedding with Briana Nicole Photography

Romance in Full Bloom: A Real Wedding with Briana Nicole Photography

Our wedding day was quite literally, the perfect date (April 25th Miss Congeniality). We couldn’t have asked for a better day. All of our vendors were amazing, but we have to give a special shoutout to Briana and her magic behind the camera. Because of her, we get to relive our wedding day every time we look at our wedding album.

Katie, Bride

There is something so magical about weddings that take place during spring. The weather is perfect, the flowers start to bloom, and there is the fresh scent of rejuvenation lingering throughout the air. It’s no wonder so many local couples choose to have their weddings during some of our favorite warm weather months – April, May, and June! If you planned a springtime wedding, then your big day is just around the corner! And for those of you that postponed your April and May weddings till next year, not to worry, here’s to finding more inspiration to create your ideal wedding day.

Spring weddings are special because they can take on a number of different styles – from high-fashion elegance to farmhouse chic. For Katie + Andrew, their April wedding was a combination of both! The couple chose to have their wedding at the incredible Los Poblanos Historic Inn + Organic Farm, which always makes for the perfect setting. With the lavender beginning to bloom, cottonwood trees surrounding the property, and stunning florals sweeping the grounds, there couldn’t have been a more ideal time to celebrate the couple’s love. It was like something straight out of a dream!

“Andrew and I met 5 years ago through mutual family friends while at a party, started dating and then got engaged on Christmas 2017. It took us almost a year and a half to plan our wedding as we wanted it to be elegant and intimate while also being outdoors. Los Poblanos’s property is gorgeous, with the Sandias serving as a backdrop to their lavender fields and all of the giant cottonwoods lining the property.”

Katie, bride

We have to take a moment to tell you that we are completely obsessed with the color palette they chose – blues and greens that complimented the foliage and the wardrobe. Everything was so thoughtfully put together by the couple and the local wedding community. We always love to see the magic that comes from the collaboration between couples and the vendors that bring their visions to life.

When it came to style, there was no shortage of exquisiteness. Katie wore a jaw-dropping floor-length gown from Bridal Elegance by Darlene and Andrew chose a sharp suit from Men’s Wearhouse… cue the red-carpet paparazzi. Take a look at the gallery below, so wonderfully captured by Briana Nicole Photography, to get inspiration for your springtime wedding!

“Katie and Andrew’s wedding was a special one for me. It was the first time I got to shoot a wedding at Los Poblanos and it was during the best time, SPRING! All of the wisterias were in full bloom. Katie was such an easy-going bride which made the whole day flow perfectly. The details were simple and classic. I am so happy they chose me to be a part of their wedding day.”

Once Upon A Time: A Real Wedding with the Event Center at Sandia Golf Club

Once Upon A Time: A Real Wedding with the Event Center at Sandia Golf Club

“We believe that all little girls dream of having their fairytale wedding and we believe that all little girls deserve to feel like a princess on their wedding day! The wedding of Becky and Christopher was truly what fairytales are made of.”

– Lauren Landavazo, Event Center at Sandia Golf Club

Many little girls really do grow up hoping to become a princess one day, and for us ladies at Wedding Collective, we can’t say that we didn’t wish for the same! From the elegant ballgowns to Prince Charming, everything is ideal and dreamy. Fairytale themed weddings are without a doubt some of our most favorite weddings of all time because they bring all of these childhood dreams to life. Also, who doesn’t love a little magic?

For the wedding of Rebecca + Christopher, magical is an understatement. The decor set the stage for an enchanted forest, filled with small, but meaningful, touches of intimacy and romance. From the moment their guests walked into the ballroom, it was like opening the crisp pages of their favorite childhood story. The Event Center at Sandia Golf Club provided a warm and welcoming space where Rebecca + Christopher could bring their visions to life.

Their special day had an enchanted atmosphere with whimsical touches everywhere. Their centerpieces included small birch trees, dripping with crystals, moss and clusters of floral.

Lauren, the event center at sandia golf club

The wonderful thing about weddings is that you get to add personalized touches wherever you desire, and no matter how small, big, goofy, or serious, they will tell the story of you and your partner like nothing else can. For Rebecca + Christopher, they added little planes dangling from the tree centerpieces to commemorate Christopher in his Air Force pilot training, which was an important milestone in their lives. These are the small details that you will remember forever, so don’t shy away from doing all of the extras, even if it strays away from your theme. Bring on the sweet details for everyone to see! I’m not crying, you’re crying.

Like every good love story, the place where you meet is at the center of your foundations. For this lovely couple, New Mexico was home and meeting place. There was no need to look off to distant magical lands to find this fairytale love. After all, we’re called the Land of Enchantment for a reason, right? Rebecca + Chris wanted to have their wedding in a place that encompassed the culture and beauty of the state, so the views at the Event Center sold them immediately.

As soon as we stepped foot on the patio I knew this was the place I needed to be to celebrate my wedding with the people I love. We couldn’t have asked for a more loving and exciting day to share with our families at a wonderful venue. It was truly amazing and will forever stay in our hearts as one of the best days of our lives. Thank you Sandia Golf Club for making my dream of a perfect wedding come true!”

Vendor Spotlight: De Novo Concierge Pastors

Pastor Paul was everything you want in a wedding officiant! He made everyone feel comfortable, had great advice for our vows, showed up on time, laughed with us, and made the day so perfect! His wife is also a gem!!! She helped with making the day run smoothly! From the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you Paul! You touched our hearts and made our special day even more special!

– Gabrielle, Bride

When we think of wedding vendors that go the extra mile to ensure that their couples have the best treatment, our minds immediately go to De Novo Concierge Pastors. It can be hard to find an officiant that not only makes you feel important, but also like you were born to be friends. Dr. Paul Martinez and his team of Concierge Pastors are the kind of business that you’ll never forget.

Beyond their wildly friendly + professional service, De Novo provides a range of resources for local couples that are getting married. Unlike many other officiants, Paul offers pre-marriage counseling for couples who want to enter their marriage feeling like they have plenty of guidance and strength to get the most out of their relationship. Paul is a certified SYMBIS (“Saving Your Marriage Before it Starts”) facilitator, which is the foundation for his coaching methods. With SYMBIS, couples will take a short assessment that paves the path to understanding their relationship dynamics.

When it comes to officiating your wedding, Paul and the team of concierge pastors will work with you from start to finish, making sure that you have everything you need during the rehearsal and ceremony. They’re no strangers to beautiful love stories and great celebrations, so you can trust that they will handle everything perfectly. Wedding officiants are your guide toward your life together, so it is important that they bring out the best in you and your guests. There will be nothing but sweet smiles, laughter, and maybe quite a few happy-tears, during your ceremony – and that’s just how it should be.

We love seeing our vendors become famous within the wedding community, so check out this interview with Paul that has been posted up on the Wedding Report’s page! After viewing and eager to learn more, you can get connected with De Novo Concierge Pastors here.

How to Have a Modern 20’s Themed Wedding

How to Have a Modern 20’s Themed Wedding

It’s official – we’re finally in the 20s again! Although, we have to say, they look a little different these days. That doesn’t mean that the decade won’t consist of flapper dresses, Art Deco, glam, and good music, though. Couples all over are planning their weddings for this year and the years to come, and we know the one thing they’ve been most excited about is the chance to play a little dress up.

via GIPHY

“A little party never killed nobody” – so let’s get planning! We’ll walk you through our favorite trends and give you a little inspo along the way from the gorgeous styled shoot by Black Bow Events. Here are our top tips for planning a modern 20s wedding:

1. Create the perfect mix of textures, colors, and patterns.

Lavel Marie Photography

Adding elements of modern styles, like this trending pastel pink, with textures and patterns from the 20s will give you the perfect blend of new and old. Your guests will feel less like they’re at a costume party and more like they’ve transported in time without leaving the comfort of their modern lives!

2. Choose 20s themed hairstyles + attire paired with modern accessories.

Lavel Marie Photography

We’re obsessed with classic hairstyles from the 20s, and we know that a local beauty expert is dying to get you all glammed up. To tame your roaring 20s look, pair it with modern accessories + styles, like acrylic nails or minimal or modern jewelry. For the guys – try wearing some sneakers to create a more casual look.

3. Gold + silver themed everything.

Lavel Marie Photography

We’re not kidding when we say “glam it up”. The more shiny the better! Gold and silver are the perfect pair for any 20s themed party – try mixing it with classic elements of your wedding like florals or tableware for modern chic vibes.

4. Choose a venue with history behind it.

Lavel Marie Photography

The venue is what makes every aspect of your wedding come together and creates the mood for your whole event. When it comes to a decades themed wedding, it’s essential that the venue has some elements of the 20s – whether it is in the architectural design or the history of the place itself.

5. Make it feel warm and intimate.

Lavel Marie Photography

It is the celebration of your love, after all. Remind your guests of why they are there – to celebrate the union of two unique and beautiful people. Pull the reigns on the party by bringing in some elements of warmth and romance, like candles, pillows, and subtle colors.

Bride’s Night In: Meet Your Favorite Wedding Vendors

Bride’s Night In: Meet Your Favorite Wedding Vendors

Now is the perfect time to be planning your wedding – the sun is shining, the air is warm with a slight breeze, and you’ve got some extra time on your hands! Finally, you get to plan the big day without distractions, except maybe the urge to brew yourself a nice cup of coffee or check your Instagram feed.

Every year, Wedding Collective hosts an exciting evening specifically for local brides (and the grooms, too) to get out, have a good time, and meet local wedding vendors – the Bride’s Night Out. This year, the event was supposed to be held in May, but with the recent events that have transpired, we want to keep our community safe and save the event for more ideal days.

However, this doesn’t mean we forgot about you or your amazing weddings. In fact, we’re bringing all of the vendors that were going to participate in the evening right to your computer screen. We’re calling this rendition “Bride’s Night In” – cheesy, I know. We encourage you to make a little snack, pour yourself a fancy drink, and throw on your bride-to-be attire, paired with some cute pajama bottoms, while you dive into this article.

Alright, lovelies. Let’s get your virtual meet-and-greet started! Here’s how it’ll work:

  1. Check out all of the vendors listed below
  2. Fall in love with one of them? Click on the link to their vendor profile.
  3. Learn a little more about them by perusing their photo gallery and their services.
  4. Send them a little “hello” letting them know that you like what you see and that you are interested in their services, even if you’re still on the hunt. Let them know you found them on Wedding Collective so they know who sent them.
  5. Ready to book already? Send them an inquiry or give them a call! They would love to hear from you while they have this extra time to chat!

Timeless Romance with Coryn Kiefer Photography

Timeless Romance with Coryn Kiefer Photography

“Life without love, is no life at all.” – Leonardo da Vinci

With springtime so gracefully happening all around us, vibrant colors and incredible new beginnings steal the show. It is no wonder local couples choose this time of year to have their jaw-dropping New Mexico weddings. Since we’re now learning to live with these unexpected changes, couples must reschedule their weddings. We want you to know that it’s 100% okay to be sad, and maybe even really angry, since you’ve been preparing for this moment your whole life. Good news, though! You now have plenty of time to get back to the drawing board, without any distractions, and get inspired.

We’ve said it before and we will say it again – one of our favorite ways to get inspiration for weddings is local styled shoots. New Mexico wedding vendors from all over the bring their talents together to create something magical. Our lovely Coryn Kiefer Photography wanted to bring her vision for timeless romance to life, so she did just that through incredible colors, textures, and scenery.

“While love remains timeless, traditional weddings are changing. Weddings today break free of monotony and add unique elements that tell the couple’s story and personality more than ever before. This styled shoot aimed to embrace the modern wedding while keeping the simplicity of love in the forefront.”

Coryn Kiefer Photography

The models are wearing a modern take on wedding attire – a pantsuit for the bride and a mismatched suit for the groom. While these elements of fashion are unconventional, they compliment each other and are a perfect match for the ornate decor that surrounds them. The decor + florals are fit for a queen. We get some serious fairytale vibes and all of our little girl dreams are coming true.

As we like to say, it’s all in the details. The hand lettering, the jewelry, and the cake are all exquisite. Check out the gallery below to see how Coryn + her team brought this fairytale to life:

“Tessa’s Rime Arodaky pantsuit was the epicenter. Pairing this modern fashion with the Old World style of the El Rey Court was the perfect fit. Elements of Mustard and Sage were added to highlight the whites and add a punch of color to the setting.”
