And to help you get the most of the wedding show, we’ve compiled a few tips to get you in the right direction.
Arrive Early – It’s been said, “The early bird gets the worm.” The same is true of a wedding show. Not only will you avoid lines, but you will be first to get all the goods! For exclusive wedding show access, join us for the First Look Wedding Lounge one hour before the show!
Dress for Success – Oftentimes, weddings shows have countless vendors and if you’re not dressed accordingly, trekking through the many displays in heels can be tiresome, so be sure to wear tennies and comfy clothes! Besides, you might get a little messy if you get to dive into a wedding cake in search of FREE diamond jewelry!
Energize – Although there will be lots of samples and goodies to go around, it’s a good idea to eat a little something before you go to make sure you have enough energy to get all the show has to offer.
Bring Cash – It’s always a good idea to bring cash just in case vendors don’t accept credit cards at the show.
Bag It! – There will be lots of freebies, so make sure to bring something like a tote bag or back pack to carry your stuff in.
Pen and Page – A wedding show is a good place to network and get your plans off the ground. Bringing a notebook and pen will give you the tools to write down ideas and services from vendors and fellow brides.
Create Labels – If you really want to be on top of everything, you may want to create labels with your name and contact info to fill out vendor info cards. Not only will this give you more time for all the fun stuff, but it will show vendors that you’re serious about your plans.
Collaborate – You may want to bring your fiancé, a friend, or, if your you’re really brave, your soon-to-be mother-in-law! Sharing ideas with each other will help you stay on task and keep you from making decisions on impulse. If you choose to bring your mother-in-law, allowing her to be a part of the planning process will give you an opportunity to bond.
Have Fun – Most of all, enjoy yourself! The organizers and vendors work hard to bring the very best the city has to offer so take advantage of the offers they present to you and have fun meeting new people!

What are some things you should keep in mind when attending a wedding show?
Leave plenty of time to browse. In just a few hours, you have the opportunity to observe, gain insight, and establish relationships with the local experts that are going to be playing a huge part in such a memorable day. Don’t rush it! Take the time to visit each of the booths, stick around for possible prize giveaways, and save time by scheduling appointments at the show.
Wear comfortable shoes and carry a big bag with handles. There’s so much to see and grab so you’ll be doing a lot of walking and collecting. Pick up business cards and promotional offers and take photos with your phone for future reference and inspiration.
Bring pre-printed labels or a stamp with your name, wedding date, email address, and mailing address on it. This is a great way to save time filling out door prize entry forms and to quickly give your favorite vendors your pertinent information.
Bring a checkbook or credit card so you can take advantage of “show only” specials and to guarantee availability with your chosen experts. Remember, most businesses can only accommodate one or two weddings on a prime Saturday. You’ll want to make sure you are able to solidify your wedding date with your businesses of choice.

We will be hosting the Great Diamond Dash Bridal Show on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 1:00p.m – 4:00p.m. The event will take place at Marriott Pyramid North 5151 San Francisco Road Northeast, Albuquerque, NM 87109.A free wedding seminar will be held before the bridal show from 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m., hosted by select New Mexican wedding professionals giving local brides the chance to meet and greet with the area’s most trusted wedding experts – offering their best advice.
Albuquerque and Santa Fe’s wedding professionals are eager to showcase their products, services and new ideas in an elegant atmosphere. Reception sites, caterers, hair and makeup artists, photographers, videographers and other wedding vendors will also be in attendance to support brides with their wedding plans offering specials, wedding packages, food tastings and giveaways.
Each registered bride will receive a program filled with savings along with the chance to participate in the Diamond Dash. Five brides will get the chance to dive into a wedding cake in search of diamond jewelry. One lucky bride will find the hidden diamond jewelry and the other four will receive gift certificates toward wedding-related services or products.
