A new application allows for couples to interact with their guests and provides a social platform for people to find out the latest news and updates about the upcoming nuptials. The web application, Weduary, is an easy way to create a website while using Facebook to invite their guests, according to Reuters.

The guests can benefit from the site a great deal. Not only does it feature helpful information, but it also can help the guests interact with each other.

“It says which hotel they’re staying at, when they are arriving to the event, their favorite story of the bride and groom and what their cell phone is,” Brit Morin, CEO of Brit & Co, the brand behind Weduary, told the news source.

In addition, those who are going to the wedding solo can look at the Flirt section and find out what they have in common with some of the other guests, according to the media outlet.

There are many different ways brides and grooms who are wedding planning can take advantage of the internet. For example, there are a slew of sites that allow couples to plan their wedding with ease. Perfect Wedding Guide also provides a service to brides to their own customizable website. Through this site brides can have the following sections: About us, Blog, Bridal Party, Guestbook, Wedding Info, Photo Gallery, Polls, Registry and RSVP’s.  To set-up your own Perfect Wedding Guide Website click here.

Once a bride-to-be says yes to a proposal, she simply cannot wait to pick out that beautiful wedding dress, but as brides start to look, it can be extremely overwhelming, according to The Huffington Post. However, the bride will find the gown she always wanted.

“You’ll find the right, dream dress,” designer Romona Keveza told the news source. “When you know, you know. And it’s in your heart, not your head. Just like when you found the right guy.”

Many brides-to-be look to the catwalk to see what the latest trends will be, and after the New York Bridal market this past weekend, a number of trends emerged for spring 2013. According to the New York Daily News, there was a wide range of styles walking down the runway. Everything from classic gowns to vintage Hollywood appeared, including short hemlines with long trains to layers of tulle and French lace.

The basic colors of ivory, champagne and bright white ruled the runway, but designer Vera Wang added a few different hues. The famous wedding dress designer, who last year showed off a series of black gowns, presented dresses in scarlet and crimson. Designers Keveza and Oscar de la Renta also featured red gowns.  Below are images taken at the New York Bridal Market by Perfect Wedding Guide.

Many couples question whether they want to throw an engagement party or not, and it has a number of pros and cons to go with it. First of all, couples are able to announce and celebrate their amazing news to close family and friends. Also, it is a fantastic way for the two families to get to know each other before the real wedding planning begins.

However, it also adds some pressure when it comes to the guest list, as the couple needs to finalize their list much earlier because they shouldn’t invite someone to the engagement party and not the wedding. Also, financially it can come some added pressure, so those who are planning a wedding on a budget may want to steer clear of this event.

Couples who decide to throw one of these fun bashes need to keep a few things in mind. When it comes to hosting, anyone can do so – if it’s a friend of the family of the bride or groom, there is no set rule. There is also no set rule when it comes to what type of event it is, it can be a formal affair, a cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres or a family barbeque.

It is safe to say that a groom-to-be loves his bride-to-be just the way she is, since he proposed an everlasting commitment to her. However, many brides start a full-blown diet and exercise regimen in anticipation of their big day. According to TLC Weddings, there are many safe diet and exercise plans brides can take advantage of that will allow them to shed a few unwanted pounds before they tie the knot.

Wedding planning is stressful enough, but by adding fad diets or unsafe pills to the mix, a bride can really be making some unhealthy choices. So, it is important to be realistic first and foremost. Find a weight loss number that is not too lofty or impossible, and make sure to take into account how much time before the nuptials. If you have two weeks, 20 pounds will not be lost.

Also, when the bride is starting off this plan, it is imperative to find a good way to measure progress – for example, measuring waist, thighs and arms or simply weighing in each week. When it comes to snacking and staying away from junk food, it is advisable to carry a few healthy snacks, so brides do not succumb to any unwanted food.

I hope this advice helps, and remember you are beautiful no matter what!

Food trucks have been growing in popularity in recent years, as they have found a place to park in cities all over the country. Now these trucks are making their way into weddings and other events, according to NPR.

Nida Rodriguez owns The Slide Ride, a food truck in Chicago that serves gourmet sandwiches, recently decided to do some catering – and it has been successful. She caters events of all kinds including weddings – already she has 10 weddings booked this summer, according to the news source.
Food trucks aren’t exactly for a traditional wedding, but those couples who are planning a wedding on a budget and are willing to forgo some of the logistics, many find these trucks to be the perfect caterer for their nuptials, the media outlet reports.

According to The Daily Meal, many brides and grooms have been taking advantage of food trucks for a late night snack for people after the reception or they will hire one to come out in between the ceremony and the reception so the guests have something to do.

Fashion and wedding dress designer Vera Wang recently released a new application for smartphones, which helps brides-to-be who are planning a wedding, according to The Huffington Post.

The application includes more than 1,000 pictures of cakes, dresses, flowers and stationary to help planners pick what they like. It also includes tons of articles related to wedding planning along with the ability to track the couple’s guest list – so they need no extra help to manage the details, according to the news source.

When it comes to the beautiful wedding dress the bride will wear, Wang advises women to ensure they give themselves enough time to look.

“A bride should look at everything she possibly can and try on all the different possibilities, just so she can experiment and see what makes her really feel beautiful or glamorous or classic, or whatever she desires to be on her wedding day,” Wang told the news source.

Wang is known for her fabulous wedding dresses, but has recently expanded her line to include wedding bands, engagement rings and other beautiful jewels.
